This new series is setting up to be my absolute favorite from WC! I’ve loved her portrayal of single parents and this book is absolutely phenomenal in how it slowly pulls you in, making you care for every character as though they’re an intrical part of your life. There are little pieces that I committed to memory and hope to see in future books, too!
Clint is every bit of the strong, protective father who will go to unknown lengths to protect his daughter. Who wouldn’t fall for a guy like that?! Losing his wife and the mother of his daughter was absolutely tragic, but I do love how they band together for the kids. When he finds Brooke, the story really takes a shift. Brooke is a celebrity and absolutely nothing about her story is what I expected!
Each chapter drew me further in, opening my heart to Clint, Brooke, and Talia. The plot is engaging, making you feel all the emotions from fear to love and everywhere in-between. All of the underlying suspense and secrets keep you a bit edgy, causing you to question even the slightest shifts. Can’t wait for the next book!
