As a firm believer that the simple life is the best life, the pages of this book hold every testament to that fact. I devoured each and every word, feeling a deep connection to this couple. My husband and I started out in a “frenemies to lovers” situation, so reading John and Quinn felt like looking at ourselves from the outside in. Like John, my husband quickly took to my boys and we became the family we all needed!
John’s determination to be a grump and keep everyone (outside his immediate family) at an arm’s length, it doesn’t take long for Quinn and her sweet daughter, Abby, to interrupt his plans. Even before knowing Quinn’s past, John proves what kind of man he is by how caring and sweet he is – especially to Abby. The care and attention that he paid to the swing for their front yard? SWOON!
