I love supporting local authors and absolutely adore that this author is local-to-me! Her books are always full of heartwarming stories that tug at your heartstrings while giving you a sense of peace and healing. I loved the premise that Julia has sworn off dating and committed herself to following through on her personal rule list. We all know that life marches to the beat of its own drum — and I couldn’t get enough of how this was going to play out.
The pain that the past holds for these two is no match for the future! Julia has lost and struggled – a lot – but her sheer determination is what pulls her through life. It’s admirable and also a large part of what makes her vulnerable. Boone has had his own difficult past involving loss and pain.
