THIS BOOK! Oh my goodness! The emotion, tension, and bit of suspense is perfectly paced and had me riveted to my seat until I finished. For me, this is the best of the series!
Ford and Reese were so much fun to fall in love with alongside them. Even as they start to fall for one another, I adored all the sass that Reese offered and the cowboy toughness that Ford tried to lay down. The way they were written to slowly unload all their past baggage and rebuild is truly a work of art. Reese hides so much of her pain behind flashy clothes, high heels, and a diva attitude, but deep down, she’s longing for someone like Ford. He realizes what he lost (and his actions that led up to those losses), but he’s not willing to lose Reese — even before they’re romantically involved. There are little details that make you realize how fate designed these two to be together — and I was HERE for it!
The family dynamics often had me in both tears of laughter and a bit of sadness all throughout. They are tight-knit, yet not afraid to call each other out. It’s true love in the purest of ways! Ford and Reese both do a tremendous amount of growth from start to finish, while also creating a new path, forged together on their love. For them to find a sense of peace, it was well worth every second that I was absorbed into their story. Ford loves hard and if you’re looking for a new book boyfriend, well it’s too late. Because he’s MINE!
