I’m an adrenaline junky.

I run into burning buildings, put everything on the line and thrive on the high it triggers.

It’s how I live my life. It’s how I’ve always lived my life.

I love the fast pace. A new adventure every day.

So why can’t I shake my brunette neighbor?

Why when I see her do I feel like everything around me stops?

Three things instantly made me want to pick up this book:

1 – It’s by CA Harms!

2 – It’s a firefighter romance – HOT HOT HOT!

3 – It’s based in Nashville! (I live in Tennessee)

Grayson struggles with true intimacy and connection with women, so he has developed a revolving door routine. And his neighbor, along with her teenage sister that she’s raising, has nearly had a front row seat to the action. It hasn’t exactly left a good impression.

Skye and Tori had their lives turned upside down after losing their parents. They’re both still so young and my heart ached for them! I love how they haven’t lost their sister relationship despite the shift in responsibilities for Skye. Tori, being a teen pushes buttons and tests her boundaries. I found myself laughing out loud several times at her antics as it wasn’t too long ago that my own kids were that age. Her trauma from losing her parents comes out harsh, but honestly, it wasn’t anything that Grayson and his friends didn’t need to hear. Perhaps it was better and more effective coming from her!

Once Grayson is tormented by Tori for his revolving door, we see the shift start to happen. It happens fast, but I enjoyed how it develops from the hate to love, realizing how sizzling hot their chemistry was. But is it too hot and going to end up in smoke and ash?

About CA Harms

C.A. Harms is an avid romance and mystery reader. She’s always had a love for books, getting lost in writing and storytelling even as a young girl. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories.
She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She holds an addiction for Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha’s and KitKat when she should really be focusing on water and maybe a fruit or two to make herself feel less guilty, but that feeling quickly passes…thankfully.
She is easy going, fun, and although she may seem like one of the quiet ones at first, you just wait until she gets to know you better…that quietness changes, fast.
