Cherry Tree Harbor has become such a fun place to visit and I have loved every book from cover to cover! And in true MH fashion, she saved my favorite for last. It made my day to find out that Mabel started talking a lot sooner than originally anticipated and I couldn’t wait to devour her story.
For me, Mabel was incredibly relatable with her quirkiness and awkwardness, but absolutely endearing. Joe had his head set on a one-time thing, but it didn’t take long before he was hooked on Mabel. The way he took care of her captured my entire heart! A man who isn’t afraid to show how he feels and willing to step up to the plate is a true hero and Joe soared above and beyond. In turn, Mabel was there for Joe, learning the ins and outs of hockey and being there for him as much as he is for her.
As sweet as these two are, don’t let my thoughts fool you. There is PLENTY of delicious spice that will heat things up for you! This is definitely a series I will revisit because it’s so good!!
