Such a perfect title for this book — it’s such a swoony read! I have loved falling for all of Cherry Tree Harbor, but Dash and Ari had an unfinished story. I loved finally getting to their second chance – so worth the wait! Plenty of swoon, spice, and the laughs — let’s just say I’ll never look at sharks the same way again!
Dash’s visit to Delphine had me laughing out loud – especially his second visit! He’s kept so much hidden, putting on a smile for the cameras and living up his celebrity life. Deep down, you can see the small town roots that keep him grounded. Once he starts spending time with Ari, we get to see his vulnerabilities transform into his greatest sources of strength. I love how he grows closer to his siblings and father in addition to Ari — really made the story come full circle!
Ari has been blessed with amazing, supportive parents, but thanks to her awful ex, her self-confidence has taken a hit. Spending time with Dash helps her rediscover her voice as he is one of her biggest fans. Her hardworking nature softens and blossoms once she starts helping Dash. In turn, she’s giving herself a gift without even realizing it.
The spice is absolute perfection between these two. I loved how Dash confessed why he turned her down all those years ago — who can’t love an admirable man like that??!! Typically level-headed, I loved getting to Dash’s protective side when Ari’s ex calls to taunt her. It showed a big breakthrough of that dark cloud he had hanging around!
