My Thoughts:
Being invisible is painful. And Alice knows all about it. My heart immediately ached for this woman who is talented and beautiful in her own right, yet no one takes the time to notice. Struggling with my own self-worth, I felt every rip of those threads holding her together. Marco has become the protective, broody man to protect his heart, but it’s a spectacular sight to see how that all changes when he becomes the one who SEES Alice. Isn’t that all we all want? Someone to see us, help us feel and be ourselves, safe, happy, and without judgment.
I have always been picky about romantic suspense novels as I need both elements to be well-balanced. Ari Wright exceeded my expectations by giving not only a balanced novel, but one that makes all of your senses come to life. I want the hair on my arms and back of my neck to stand on end during the suspenseful moments and for my heart to swoon and eyes to water during the romance. All of my wishes were fulfilled within these pages!
