He’s her brother’s best friend. There’s only one bed. Will one kiss change everything?
Jack Cassidy heads the team opening the next in an exclusive line of boutique hotels, this one in wine country. Working with his best friend’s sister should make it easier, tapping into her expertise about the area and its wines. The pair have been friends for years, so sharing an apartment shouldn’t pose any issues… except for the simmering heat building between them.
Campbell Taylor’s one of only a handful of women to battle the all-boys club and go for the title of Master Sommelier. She didn’t rise to her position by being a pushover, but living and working with her brother’s best friend – the man she’s secretly crushed on for years – might prove to be her greatest challenge. How can she get him to see her as more than Cameron’s little sister? And will their undeniable attraction derail her dreams?

Escape to wine country with this beautifully descriptive book that highlights the second luxury boutique hotel of the California Suits series. Each scene came to life before my eyes as though I were watching a live-action movie while reading.
I absolutely adored these two — the chemistry is sizzling hot. The brother’s best friend trope is one of my favorites and this book nails it! Campbell’s childhood crush hasn’t faltered and now that her and Jack are both adults, their close proximity quickly pushes it to a new level. I love her drive to become a Master Sommelier. She works hard to prove that she can break through the standard glass ceiling of an industry that is dominated by men.
Jack has always seemed to follow a life that led him wherever the wind blew him. He’s looking for roots, but still lets his initial fear of settling down keep him on the outskirts. It doesn’t take long for him to see his best friend’s little sister as more – but is it simply enhanced because of their living situation? Both have their reasons for outwardly keeping the other at an arm’s length, but it’s fun watching their feelings blossom into more. Both have dreams – professional and personal – that they believe can easily be ripped away. Are the willing to take that chance? I LOVED the connection between these two and can’t wait to get glimpses of them in future books!
