“The first boy I ever loved might be a murderer.”
After Sophie Mariano disappeared, I took the perfect life she left behind—the spot on the cheer squad, the friends, and the gorgeous boyfriend.
But now Sophie’s brother, Miles, is back, and he’s looking for his missing sister. He’s staying with his grandma in my duplex, which means there’s nothing but a door separating us each night. I should be afraid of him—everyone thinks he killed his sister. But I’m not afraid of Miles. I’m afraid of how much I want him.
There is one person I’m afraid of, though: whoever’s sending me creepy, anonymous messages and photos. They’re following me around town, to work, to my house. According to Miles, the same thing happened to Sophie before she disappeared. Whoever was stalking her is now stalking me.
The DMs escalate to vandalism, blackmail, break-ins, and death threats. My stalker wants to ruin my life. They want to break me. They want me dead. If Miles and I don’t figure out what happened to Sophie and who’s been stalking us both …
I’ll be the next girl to disappear.
For fans of Gilmore Girls and Punk 57, this bad boy next door romantic suspense is brimming with intrigue, twists, and a steamy love triangle that will keep readers guessing and gasping late into the night.

My Thoughts:
This debut novel is one that you don’t want to miss out on getting your hands on! I wanted to block everything out going on in the world around me and completely submerge myself. More often than not, I steer clear of books that feature young adults (around age 18) because of the extreme immaturity and annoyance of their actions. But all of the characters are well-written, believable, and didn’t get on every last one of my nerves!
From the beginning, I had my suspicions, which exponentially grow with all of the inklings of doubt placed in nearly everyone. The twists are often subtle, yet delivered with a powerful punch. The suspense is intricately woven alongside the romance and pulls you in, gripping you in a stranglehold that won’t let go until you get all of the pieces put together. I’m absolutely in awe!
Favorite quote: “There are two types of jealous girls. Those who want what someone else has and go after it – girls like me. And those who want what someone else has and destroy the person who has it.”
I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.
