My Thoughts:

Nash and Maddie are the blueprint for a perfect friends-to-lovers romance! I love when a couple obviously (to everyone else!) is meant to be, yet they hold back for fear of upsetting the friendship between them.

Even though Maddie has had the worst home life, she grows up into a kind, caring, and compassionate woman. Learning about the trauma she’s faced (and continues to face) broke my heart. Her parents are absolutely horrible human beings. Maddie has a much bigger heart than me because I never would have even spoke to my mother again! Nash and his family were incredibly amazing in how they supported and cared for her – even when she tried to keep them at an arm’s length.

Catherine Cowles makes this slow burn romance worth every page turn, giving Maddie time to heal while also letting Nash’s blinders fall off. The family dynamics between his siblings will have you in stitches at times, giving you glimpses of how Holt has transitioned into a new man, while foreshadowing what is to come with the other siblings.

The suspense amplified with each event, leaving you to question who is involved and how everything connects. Excellent writing to twist you up and leave you questioning if you’ve correctly figured it out! So much is lost, yet a whole lot more is gained – including a beautiful love between these two. Nash and Maddie are absolute #goals!
