Running my sister’s bed-and-breakfast in our small town should have been a piece of cake. Until I opened the door to our new guest and came face to face with the man I had a one-night stand with a year ago. And he was looking at me like I was a total stranger.

Nate Sullivan was fourteen years older than me and was my brother’s best friend. Not to mention a billionaire CEO that looked just as good in well-worn jeans and a T-shirt as he did in a suit. And when he was with his girls? There was no way I couldn’t fall for him.

We both had tarnished pasts that kept our hearts out of the mix. But being with him now gave me a confidence I didn’t know was missing.

It wasnโ€™t until his twin daughters forced us to dance that we acted on our chemistry. And though it was explosive, our time together was limited. As the nights ticked away, we learned time wasn’t the only thing that worked against us.

**This is book 2 in the Sunny Brook Farms Series. Each one can be read as a complete standalone. Always an HEA!**

My Thoughts:

The premise for this one had me intrigued. How would a man completely black out and not remember a one-night-stand? Once you learn about what Nate has gone through, it’s completely understandable! More often than not, it’s the woman in this situation. I like that Renee Harless put that little spin on the situation.

Nate and Alex are such a perfect pair and it’s impossible for them to deny that the other is the person to break all their rules for. There is a lot of back and forth as these two work through personal issues, as well as dealing with an impending future that could completely shake things up – especially if her brother found out. But every moment pulls on your heartstrings a little more, making you fall in love with each of them.

Nate is such a good father to his girls, always ensuring that their care and wellbeing are put ahead of everyone else. And his ability to leave the past where it belongs when it comes to the girls and their mother — so incredible and swoonworthy!
