Immediately, I was in love with Otto! His past with Fallon made my heart hurt for how she broke him and the faux persona he decided to live his life going forward. His heart is so big, sweet, and I hoped to see Fallon transition into the woman he deserved.
Fallon doubts herself to be able to hand a relationship with someone. Her son, Briggs, keeps her busy and she’s guarding both of them by keeping Otto at arm’s length, calling their tryst a “casual, one-time” thing. But Otto is a force to reckon with and Fallon finds herself falling – HARD! I mean, who could stop themselves for falling for Otto? He’s the best of both worlds if you love a cinnamon roll hero who knows exactly what to say, how to say it, and when to say it in regards to the bedroom. Woooooo!
Unlike so many other books, Fallon’s ex is a crucial part of this working. It was such a beautiful surprise that he’s written as being a great father to Briggs and honestly, a part of the family (eventually).
