I love discovering new authors! This is a first of Anna B. Doe’s for me and I’m definitely looking forward to more of what she brings with this series. One of my favorite aspects of the book is how she doesn’t make love come easy. With a history like Miguel and Rebecca’s, it was worth every moment we had to wait for THAT moment!
Their chemistry is undeniable but in order to move forward, they first must go back and right the past. There are a lot of tough situations that give this book depth beyond simply getting this couple together. Growing up and continuing to live a small town life, the forced proximity is inevitably one of the best parts. Even if they’re trying to avoid one another, every aspect tends to have them crossing paths. As they come to accept the closeness they have to endure, secrets begin unfolding and we get heartfelt emotions that make this book impossible to put down!
