Oh, those Joseph brothers!! Valerie Pepper saved the best for last, giving us a read that is full of extra spice and relatable emotions. Even though their world is literally wrapped in chaos, the goodness that these two find is absolute perfection for the end of the series.
Valerie’s approach to sensitive subjects is spot on. She adds a touch of humor that really gives it a unique spin. She’s truly an authoress genius! I love how fate brought these two together for a second chance, forcing proximity when Tory’s mother encourages her to stay at the B&B. Their past and present collide, allowing for a door to open (and supposedly close after ONE time). But we all know how well that “one time” thing goes. Their dynamics is entertaining and even a bit heart-wrenching at times as they navigate complex feelings from the past as they pave the way for a potential future.
Each book can be read as a standalone, but you get a lot of background to the Joseph brothers, their ladies, and the B&B that help make this book feel as satisfying as any ending can. LOVED it!
