This is one of the absolute best age gap nanny romances I’ve read in the past year! When I first started getting into romance, I steered clear of billionaire heroes after reading a few who were straight up obnoxious and over the top. Alec is absolutely swoon-worthy and full of a goodness that makes me want to read more of her billionaire heroes!
The fifteen year age gap gives Alec and Isabel their own unique character arc, challenges, and changes. My heart immediately went out to Alec for what he has experienced as a widow and single father to his children. He hides his heart from fear, but is actually hiding it with the veil of responsibilities. Learning to release that fear is one of the most heart wrenching and devastatingly beautiful moments.
Isabel’s dreams were wrapped up in becoming a prima ballerina, but come to a devastating end when she suffers a hip injury, thus putting an end to her career as well. Having a dream just out of reach at the edge of your fingertips, only to have it ripped away with no chance of recovery is a world-shattering moment.
This book kept me fully invested as I wondered if the stars were going to align and give these two a true go at the beautiful love they had between them. If you love the angst, push-and-pull of a hard-fought love, then don’t sleep on this one!
