My Thoughts:
I’m always game for a romcom that brings two enemies together! Katy and Mack are teachers at the same school and have classrooms beside each other. He’s an outgoing, charismatic music teacher who loves to give back all the love and support he’s received in his life. Katy is a Type-A who has always carried a load of responsibility on her shoulders, yet underneath her layers of protection, you’ll find a sweetheart of a woman.
When an accidental double-booking has these two sharing a condo for a week, I knew we were in for a treat. As with a lot of enemies, there is an underlying attraction that they are fighting and that holds true for Mack and Katy. Their banter gave me that good old-school girly giggle several times. The hospital scene is my favorite as it had me in tears of laughter at how the medication lowers Katy’s inhibitions. She’s hilarious!! The level of heat between these two is HOT and when Katy lets her hair down, it adds so much to the moment.
The character development of these two is spot-on. We see both of them become the person that balances the other through the good times and bad. I loved how they included a previous book (Accidental Attachment) and character (Brooke Baker) in the storyline.
