Mae Thompson needs some Christmas magic. As if losing her job right before the holidays wasn’t bad enough, a Midwestern blizzard strands her in the wrong city with the very man who annoyed her for the entire flight.
And the entire cab ride to her hotel.
And at the hotel.
Since the universe keeps throwing Mae and Lon together, they stop fighting it—and each other—and decide to make this a Christmas to remember.
A Merry Little Christmas was originally part of the Tis The Damn Season Anthology and has been expanded with even more holiday magic and spice.

My Thoughts:
Novellas typically aren’t my jam (unless the characters have had a previous book and the novella is like an extended epilogue or a catch-up for the holidays) — BUT Liz Zerkel did a fantastic job at making the story feel like coming home. It wasn’t stunted by being cut short in detail. Of course, as with any good romance novel, I always want MORE!
The emotional pull was perfect for a Christmas novella, setting the scenes to make you fall in love with Mae and Lon with each moment they have together. A good amount of banter was included, helping encourage that pent-up tension that these two have been carrying around. It made me giggle several times! It’s spicy in such a delicious fashion – like drinking a spiced chai latte. Smooth with the right bite to. I love how there is an actual storyline, feeding into all those emotions I spoke of. Incredible!
If you love a forced proximity romance with sprinkles of Christmas and an actual plot, grab this novella for the season!
