#CaliforniaSuits #oppositesattract

A shy CPA. A sophisticated Parisian. They say opposites attract…

Accountant Lucas Sutton is comfortable taking charge, as long as he’s behind a computer screen. So opening the final luxury hotel for the Hotel Kings on time, and on budget, is way out of his comfort zone. He can’t afford a single distraction. A distraction like his intriguing, beautiful concierge.

Brigitte Thibault flits around the globe, never finding a place to call home, until Beverly Hills starts to feel like something more. An innocent kiss with her strait-laced boss flames into white hot desire. Suddenly, they can’t stop thinking about each other. They’ve got nothing in common, except a tiny stubborn streak and a whole lot of chemistry.

The other Hotel Kings all found love on the job and they’re betting Lucas and Brigitte will, too. Can this pair prove that opposites really do attract, or will they let their differences divide them after all?

Lucas and Brigette were absolutely perfect to end the California Suits series! Being opposites in numerous ways, they create such a spectacular balance when they’re together. In fact, they bring all of the best qualities of the other out for the world to see. I loved how Lucas could feel that they had something special, yet he gives her plenty of time for her heart to catch up with his.

Brigette comes across to the world as being an enigma of perfection. I love the tidbit of how messy she is when working. Completely relatable! I took French in high school, so the strategically used French phrases were magnifique in how they worked to show even more of Brigette’s personality. Her fears and incessant need to be on the move every so often come honestly. It was beautiful watching her face the past and allowing it to morph into a new version of herself.

Lucas is an absolute dream! He doesn’t come without flaws, though, often still returning to the mindset of his scrawny teen days when it comes to believing in himself. He may seem a little shy and reserved to the outside world, but when we see him with Brigette – La perfection absolue (absolute perfection!). His energy on the rugby field is comparable to the energy he puts into the bedroom. Brigette is such a lucky woman!

One of the best scenes in the book (okay, okay, so one beyond the spicy scenes!!) is when they have lunch with his parents. It gives us a glimpse at a deeper side to Lucas. I love how they can see right through him – especially his dad.

My favorite line was actually said by Jon – “Lucas Sutton, you are smitten. I love it.”
