My Thoughts:
Although I’ve never been to the PNW, I feel like I’m coming home with each Lost and Found series book released. I am always ready for the way she combines romance with suspense, making you wish for the nail-biting moments because you know they’re going to lead to such pivotal, beautiful moments.
This latest book in the series is absolutely a stunner from beginning to end. Grae and Caden have a history and I wanted to wrap myself up in every moment. Grae’s family is full of love and concern, but I completely understand how she often feels smothered and handled with soft hands when it comes to her family. Caden’s family hides a lot of hurt, pain, and ugliness behind money and social status. Even though he attempts to keep Grae from facing the brunt of it, fate always gets her way.
I loved that Grae was skilled at knife throwing and wish that she would’ve had to of used it (especially on a particular dude who just could not get the hint!). The suspense factor was carefully calculated to build with each event, pulling your heart and soul into caring about every person who was being hurt by these deliberate, heinous actions.
My favorite quote: “Caden Shaw had the power to ruin me. And I knew it.”
Grae is super independent, but I love that she gives Caden the vulnerability that she possesses. Such another amazing book that everyone needs to be reading!
