When I started reading the Steeles at Silver Island, I knew Leni was going to fall hard when she finally found a man she could trust, one who would love as deep as she does and one who could fully understand her drive in her professional life. Honestly, I never imagined it being Duncan (Raz), but oh my – he is absolutely perfect for her.
Melissa’s ability to create an extensive family, write about it, and STILL make me fall in love and cry big tears is unparalleled to any other romance novelist I know! She excels at taking a trope like fake dating and steps up the game for any future author who writes it again. Even though I always recommend reading the preceding books in a series, you won’t regret jumping ahead with this one.
Leni is my new girl crush to a level 10! She’s sassy, sophisticated yet down to earth, and incredibly hardworking. She loves her family like something fierce and isn’t willing to settle for anything less than she’s set out to achieve. Duncan “Raz” is causing the press to tout some very unsavory stories and he needs to turn it around before he loses everything he’s worked so hard for. I absolutely fell head over heels for him when I realized how attentive he is to Leni’s wants, needs, and desires (even the ones she tries to hide from the public!).
Duncan literally takes going all in to a new level — and it’s everything this heart of mine needed!
