My Thoughts:

I absolutely love a good enemies-to-lovers read! This one fits the bill of everything I look for – plenty of banter, a hot, slow burn, and fireworks when they give into the forbidden temptation. They have a connection, that is quickly shattered when Paxton realizes who Mallory’s father is. He doesn’t immerse himself into the business of hooking up with/dating actresses or anyone within his field of work. It makes for big complications!

Mallory is desperate to prove herself worthy of her position — all without riding on her daddy’s coattails. I love her dedication to her client, albeit not easy with her mother in for the long haul, but she is proof that there can be heart in Hollywood. Paxton is stubbornly set with one opinion of her and outwardly expresses it by being a complete grump toward Mallory. But as the sexual tension ramps up and they find themselves in close proximity, the spark is undeniably too hot not to touch.

While reading, I could easily imagine myself on the island, surrounded by this eclectic crew – from the director, to the actors, to the staff – they’re all a great cast that adds their own bit of chaos to the mix. I loved the addition of the Twitter accounts sharing bits and pieces of gossip from the island as it was an added layer of mystery as to who was leaking the information.
