My Thoughts:
The Killer’s Wife is a psychological thriller that takes you along for a ride as an armchair detective. Bringing you pieces of the past that collide with the present, it doesn’t take long for Kerry Grey to be wrapped back up in the mess her husband left her in. Determined to focus on rebuilding a relationship with her son, Joey, she’s unwittingly pulled into dealing with an unfinished past. Readers get to follow along from Kerry’s point of view, as well as Adam Nash, her parole officer who happened to be quite a fan of the case as a child alongside his now deceased mother. The dynamics of the Hatchet Club members and the local police force have you questioning everyone’s odd connections and obsessions with the case. As the pieces begin to morph into a final showdown, Furlong gives us a huge twist – one that you won’t see coming.
