The sexy, cinnamon roll lumberjack offers me a ride into town, a stay at his cozy cabin, and eventually his bed—all things I can’t refuse.
After several flirty glances and heated mistletoe kisses, we create rules—no strings attached and no falling in love. Agreeing to the impossible might be my biggest mistake yet.
I visited the small town for one reason only—to prove a point to my father.
Now I’ve got a fake boyfriend.
A secret to keep hidden.
And a choice to make that will determine more than just my future.

My Thoughts:
I’m always adamant that I enjoy Thanksgiving prior to letting Christmas take over. But for Lyra Parish — I made an exception without hesitation!
Living in small towns my entire life, I love how all of the positive aspects are captured making this a comforting read. It truly helped me get in the holiday spirit! The chemistry between Jake and Claire is on point, drawing you in to love them both as individuals (even with Claire hiding a little secret!) and together. I enjoyed seeing both characters grow and become the best version of themselves. I loved the fact that Jake was a cinnamon roll hero and am a firm believer that all men can be one for the right woman!
Merryville is set to become one of my favorite places to visit for the holidays now! I love that we get a grumpy cat and quirky, meddlesome family and townspeople who mean well because it brings such a warm, comforting feeling to this book. Can’t wait for book two!
